Sssshhhhh. I'm Nanoing.

Yes. I'm diving into NanoWriMo for the very first time. (That's National Novel Writing Month for the non-writers.) I'm a little frightened, but a lot excited about it. Jon and I are bending the rules a little to fit our needs. But that's okay, because we are going to finish our novel this month. Yes, I said it. We are FINISHING it. I won't be writing 50,000 words this month, but I will be writing a whole heck of a lot and accomplish something more important to me. So there. I'm going to kick some Nano butt!

Are you doing Nanowrimo this year? WHO'S WITH ME??!

If so, here are a few links for some great tips for a successful Nano month of November.

Gearing Up for Nano (which I guess you should have done last month, but it's still helpful!)

Nano Prep Tips Lola Style (okay, so use these tips to prep you for week two and to help you carve time for Nano; it's good stuff!)

Planning Your Novel's Beginning (Because we are in the first week of Nano!)

Nano for the New and Insane Author Lazette Gifford's FREE ebook ! (Ha! Love the title!)

Due to the furious nature of Nano, I will not be posting much at this blog in November (though look for a cool post on Nov. 15). Please, please, please visit my other blog, Book Recs of the Rock & Famous instead of here this month. I'm trying to gain more followers there. And you might find a great book that a rocker or cool celebrity recommended!

Thank you, and good luck to us all!

Now that's a TRUE Nanner Split. (What I'm calling those half-NaNo-ers--LOL!)

I think NaNo is such a great tool for helping writers get their BIC on. As for me... I'm not doing it. :D But! I'm doing other writing-related stuff. Hopefully *more soon*~

GOOD LUCK!!! :o)

Yay for you!!! I'm not a 2k-word-per-day kind of writer, but I have set my own goal of 1,000 words a day. Go go go!

I have no idea if I'm going to seriously get 50k into my manuscript this month. I think if I can get to the point where the ball is rolling I'll be okay. Good luck!

I'm working on NaNoPla this month. Pla=planning, because I haven't done that yet. I got distracted with edits.

Good luck with your goal, Kelly. :D

Hi, Kelly! I'm popping over (a little late) from Katie Mills's blofee.

So, you're the Kelly Jon talks about! Aha! Finally making that connection!

I'm not doing NaNo, but I'll be cheering everybody from the sidelines. Jon stops in to my Monday evening TPR sessions sometimes. I'll be sure to ask about your progress!

You go girl! Cheering from the side-lines...(can you see the pom-poms?)

Thanks, Christina!
Katie- I think if you write more than you usually do this month, you win!
Stina - Good luck on the planning!
Dianne- Nice to meet you!! I'll try to make one of your TPR times!
Bish - Thanks for being my cheerleader! :)

Kelly, good luck! I hope your first NaNo is a good experience. I've never officially done it but I'm a big fan of fast drafting, which is great for NaNo.

No luck needed! You will rock NaNo's face off!

I knew you were up to something wonderful. Keep those words coming!

Sara McClung said...

I hope your words are flowing, Kelly!! I'm not nanoing this year because October and November have been too jam-packed to plan or devote the time I'd need. Otherwise, I'd be with you guys in trying to finish my WIP instead of starting a new one!

*sending happy writing vibes*

You are going to do great! Good luck! I've never done nano before, though I did have my own version last August. It was ca-razy! but also worth it.
